I'm the founder of UCAAN, United Cancer Advocacy Action Network, a grassroots, 100% Volunteer run, award winning cancer organization in Moorpark. I started this organization after my own personal battle with Stage 4 Terminal cancer twice. Yes I beat it! And now I'm helping others with cancer nationwide!
We're about to celebrate 10 years of service and helping 10,000 Cancer Patients Nationwide on Saturday September 28th, 2019 in Agoura Hills with a Fun and Exciting event with a CIRCUS THEME!!
This is going to be a FUN ONE and we need some eager, excited and dedicated volunteers to help us accomplish the set up, running the event and cleaning up.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST SIGN UP AS A VOLUNTEER, PLEASE DO NOT JUST SHOW UP! Once you have signed up, you will be given the address and a link to get your volunteer ticket. :) Thank you
We don't have assigned shifts because it depends on when your available, so please, Let US know when UCAAN Help!
We're open to groups of volunteers for:
Volunteers who can help during the event (arrival at 5:45pm till end of event 10pm) (There is some food at the event)
We have a 2hr minimum for people who want to volunteer, except during the event (6pm-10pm)
Setting up and Cleaning up, Re-packing cars.
Unloading and setting up starts at 2pm (OK for young students, 16+)
The event starts at 6pm-10pm
Clean up starts at 9:30pm
We're open to mature volunteers to help with different things during the event.
We just ask that you are NOT on your phone when you volunteer. You are attentive & if you need another project when you're done with one, ask how else UCAAN Help! :)

"While all of the other organizations are raising money for research, who is helping the patients? The reality is that while research has progressed and we have discovered treatments to prolong a cancer patients life, survivors are living longer lives with a worsened quality of life. There are more side effects that are making a cancer patients’ quality of life even more difficult. These side effects include but are not limited to brain damage, memory problems, infertility, degenerative disc disease, deterioration of teeth & jaw bones, congestive heart failure, and post traumatic stress disorder! "

This is United Cancer Advocacy Action Network’s Long Term Goal! To provide financial assistance to help survivors live a better quality of life - through chiropractic care, dental care, healthy eating/healthy living aid, gym memberships and more!

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16
- 2 hour minimum prior to the start of the event (6pm) Once the event has started we ask that volunteers stay for the entire event, we will need HELP! 6-10pm Clean up is a short shift a little under 2 hours and includes loading the cars.
- Some light labor, lifting may be required. Cannot be on phone while volunteering, must be able to follow directions and when done, ask how else you can help. Please be motivated and have fun!
