Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers needed within Oakbrook I & II!

The Volunteers of America (VOA) Smiling Spoon senior lunch program has recently started offering hot meal delivery to residents that are unable to come down for the meals. Meals are served at noon at Oakbrook I and Oakbrook II on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Our wonderful VOA lunch volunteers will dish up the meals in to-go containers, but we need your help to get them up to the residents' apartments. A cart will be provided to assist with delivery. All meals will be delivered between 12:00pm and 12:45pm. We would love your help on one or all of the days! Any bit helps to lighten the load and share the love!

Volunteers of any age will also receive a free meal on each day you volunteer.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
