Ages 21+ only for this event.
We will be highlighting two volunteer roles:
- Special Events - our most flexible option, and a great way to help if you have limited time
- Guest Engagement - a variety of schedule and commitment options available, and a chance for deeper involvement and learning
Learn how you can contribute to Shedd’s mission, what each role entails, and what we have to offer. There will also be the chance to interact with current volunteers, and get all your questions answered by staff.

Description
Join the Shedd family! Become a volunteer.
At Shedd Aquarium, volunteers are valued partners. They can be found in almost every area of the aquarium: preparing food for our animals, sharing stories with our guests, testing water samples, and even diving. And that’s just the surface!
You don’t need to be an expert to volunteer. If you're passionate about aquatic life, and you love to learn, teach and inspire, you'll be a great volunteer!
