High School Mock Trial Coach

Share your legal knowledge and enthusiasm with high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds, by helping to coach a mock trial team! Help prepare the students for a rigorous county competition in early February 2022. The time commitment is only a few hours per week. Materials and training will be provided. It's fun and rewarding!

Description
The Center for Youth Development through Law (CYDL) is a small, award-winning nonprofit organization providing transformative educational programs to youth from disadvantaged communities in Oakland, Berkeley and Richmond, in cooperation with the UC Berkeley School of Law. Through our paid professional internships, law and social justice education, social and emotional development curriculum, college and career development activities, and ongoing mentoring, we inspire and prepare disadvantaged youth for higher education, fulfilling careers, community engagement and leadership. More than 92% of our program alumni attend higher education and many become changemakers in their communities.
