Do you love listing to podcasts? Do you love children and value education? Want to help impoverished communities? You can make a difference!
Listen to podcasts of webinars and write notes for Develop Africa.

Develop Africa is constantly striving to be better. We do this by turning to the experts who publish podcasts with information on how nonprofits can improve. We take this information and use it to refine our efforts in order to be more effective. It's also a good way to stay up to date with what other organizations are doing.

You can help by listening to podcasts we assign to you and writing one to two-page notes to submit back to us. This can be done on your own time, so it's a convenient way to help out.

About Develop Africa, Inc.

Location:

Mission Statement

Develop Africa is a 501c3 non-profit organization working to establish meaningful and sustainable development in Africa. Develop Africa was birthed out of the vision that human resource development is the key to improving nation building capacity in Africa. Develop Africa is involved in a range of programs in Africa supporting education, microfinance and small businesses, job skills / leadership development training etc.

Description

The general history of Africa since achieving independence has been one of development failure. Develop Africa Inc. was birthed out of a response to this need. Develop Africa Inc. seeks to bridge the development deficit gap posed by the continent's long years of mismanagement and rule. Develop Africa Inc. strategic mandate is to raise a new generation of African leaders by focusing on the human capital aspect of development.

As Mistry (2006) suggests aid to Africa has not worked because human, social and institutional capital poses the binding restraint. Develop Africa Inc will utilize systematic progressive steps to address the issue of human development.

Through training, scholarship, investment and partnerships with NGO's Develop Africa is committed to developing Africa's resources and its vulnerable and poor people through the promotion of transformational education, resource development, investment training and strategic empowerment. Our premise is based on the notion that in order to change one's personal, national or organizational status there must necessarily be a change in the thinking and processing pattern of the mind

We envision an African continent fully developed in terms of its human and resource capacity, free from poverty; ignorance, and civil conflict and where the poorest and most vulnerable people become "leaders" and effectively manage national resources.
