Volunteer will select and deliver library materials to patrons who are physically unable to come to the library. Volunteer must be compassionate, responsible, and professional. Volunteer will either be assigned to a senior living community or deliver to patrons in private residences throughout Broomfield. Once a month, the volunteer will select materials for their assigned patron, deliver materials to the patron, pick-up old items, and return items to the library.

TIME COMMITMENT AND SCHEDULE

Volunteer will deliver items once a month. Time (including selection and delivery) could be from 2-4 hours. Volunteer will also attend a mandatory training.

TRAINING, SUPERVISION, AND SUPPORT

Library staff will provide training, communicate with volunteers via email or phone, and are always available to the volunteers for support.

REQUIREMENTS

Volunteer must complete and pass the Library Home Service volunteer application, City and County of Broomfield Disclosure Form, DMV check, and complete the mandatory training. Volunteer will also be required to meet with staff for an informal interview. A friendly personality, attention to detail, confidentiality, and responsibility are key requirements for this position.
