We are searching for a certified pet therapy team to visit our Hospice patients in Greenwood (the certification can be from any American Kennel Club recognized therapy dog organization).
Our patients are isolated due to COVID 19 and many have had to surrender their pets after they were unable to care for them. If you and your pet enjoy cheering people up this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Enjoy talking about your love of animals with our patients and learning about their lives during your visits.
All types of animals are welcome to participate and together we can determine the right setting for you and your pet. Common animal types include: Dog, cat, bird, equine, Guinea pig, goat, pig, rabbit, and we are willing to entertain more ideas! You volunteer based on your schedule, we are flexible.
Due to COVID 19 precautions we require a face mask be worn even if you have received your COVID vaccine (not required at this time) and we do provide PPE at no cost to you.
