We are looking for a few good men and women with their smiles and skills. Opportunities include everything from welcoming families to Amy's Place during our activity and drop-in hours. Being an on-site conversation companion for caregivers and/or those with dementia is often the most valuable and satisfying experience for all parties involved. Times may vary, but you can sign up for what is convenient for your schedule.
Maybe you like to play in the dirt and can assist with keeping our garden weeded, watered and tended. Or perhaps your skill lies in cooking, or arts and crafts. Whatever your personal interests, you will find your time spent volunteering at Amy's Place to be rewarding for both you an our families

Mission Statement
Our vision is to reduce social isolation through support, programs and resources for caregivers of those living with dementia. Mission Statement: Amy’s Place provides a supportive environment for the caregivers of those living with dementia to socialize and connect through meaningful experiences.
Description
Amy's Place was created in March 2016 to provide an environment where family caregivers, AND the persons with cognitive impairment/dementia who are being cared for, to socialize, learn and connect with those who share in the caregiving journey.
By serving as a resource center and providing educational and social events, Amy's Place strives to eliminate the isolation often felt by many whose role is that of caregiver.
Please visit our website (www.amysplace.net) for our hours and current calendar of events.
We invite you to become a part of this community initiative - training and staff support are provided for all volunteers.
"There are only four kinds of people in this world. Those who have been caregivers. Those who are currently caregivers. Those who will be caregivers. Those who will need caregivers." Rosalyn Carter
