Be the reason a young child can see! Throughout the school year, volunteers screen thousands of children in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana Counties in their schools and daycares and then refer those who do not pass the screening to further medical care. We can also help children and their adult family members with assistance getting exams and glasses! Volunteer shifts are usually on weekday mornings with the occasional afternoon shift and scheduling is flexible. Each session is no more than three hours and you can choose anywhere from one to five (or more!) screenings each month. A clear background check (paid for by us) is required, and experience working with young children is preferred.
