Walk With Us - A Celebration of Leadership

A benefit for WalkBoston

About the event: We are seeking some friendly volunteers to help at a grassroots gala event raising funds for the nation’s first pedestrian-advocacy group. This is their first-ever event of this type and they are a fun-loving organization - the event will have an associated walking tour, live brass band, and lawn games brought indoors!

Volunteer opportunities may involve setup help, walking tour help, registration/greeting, and help with our at-event fundraising.

Location: Society of Arts + Crafts (Seaport District, Boston)

MBTA access: less than a block from World Trade Center (Silver Line)

Volunteer shifts: 4:00 - 6:30 PM; and/or 5:45 - 8:30 PM

At WalkBoston, we know that walking improves personal, economic, environmental and civic health. Working on walking takes us across Massachusetts to empower people with knowledge and proven strategies to make their own communities more walkable.

We help people evaluate the walking environment, develop plans to improve walking conditions, and encourage walking activities. We engage concerned residents, community groups, municipal staff, and state agencies in our efforts. Our focus areas define the content of our work and provide a structure that guides our efforts.
