Our local MOPS group is seeking volunteers for our meetings Sept-May and meeting on Tuesday mornings from 9:15-11:45.

We are needing volunteers weekly, monthly and everything in between. So if you can only help once a month or only once in a while that’s okay.

We meet at Gate City Baptist Church in Jamestown. We are seeking volunteers to provide childcare for the children of the moms who attend. We can sign off on 3 volunteer hours if needed. A perfect opportunity for high schoolers to earn hours while other non profits in the area are closed or for anyone wanting to help local mothers!

Must be able to pass a background check and be 16 years of age or older.

Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time.

Our acronym stands for "Mothers of Preschoolers" because we began in 1973 when a group of moms of young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 50 years, MOPS has expanded our reach to include moms with older kids, partnering with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 70 countries.
