Unlabeled Beer Pourer

ORGANIZATION: Science Museum of Minnesota

Unlabeled is a new event to bring together and showcase the best Minnesota breweries and what they have to offer in beer styles. Attendees will be able to taste several beers of the same style side-by-side and then rate them. The twist? The tasting is 100% blind - each beer will be "unlabeled". The event is September 20th from 5:00 pm to 9:15 pm and is the perfect opportunity for seasoned beer drinkers to test their palates and for craft beer newbies to get acquainted with Minnesota breweries and different styles of beer, this theme being Oktoberfest!

How can you help? We are recruiting 15 more volunteers to pour beer at this event. Here are a few things to consider when deciding if this is for you:

  1. The event will be outside on the upper landing between the museum and the river. Be prepared to be in the "elements".
  2. Volunteers will be standing and pouring samples throughout the volunteer shift
  3. Volunteers need to be 21+ however, volunteers will be asked to not drink during their shift.
  4. Volunteers will be asked to arrive at 5 pm for training.
  5. Saint Paul police will be onsite to card guests
  6. Volunteers can park at the museum and walk to the event.

Please keep in mind - this isn’t a beer bash - it’s meant to be a controlled tasting event for people who love beer and the museum. We’re hoping it’s a great way to keep our social science audience engaged. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear at the event and keep.
