The Montclair Orchestra is looking for assistance for the season opening concert on 9/22. Volunteer roles include greeters/ushers/attendants; assistance at concessions table; assistance at merchandise table. Volunteers will be provided t-shirts to be worn during the event.
Volunteers are requested to arrive by 5:45pm to be sorted into roles/stations. Doors will open to patrons at 6:00pm, concert starts at 7:00pm. Concert duration is approximately 2 hours, including 20 minute intermission. Approximately half of volunteers will be able to leave after intermission; the remainder will be asked to stay, to assist patrons as they exit when the concert concludes.
Volunteers will be offered complimentary tickets so that family/friends can enjoy the performance.

APEX Ensemble is a unique training orchestra that offers fellowship playing opportunities to students at some of the most recognizable music schools in the world, including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, Cali School of Music, and Mason-Gross School for the Arts. Playing alongside the student fellows are professional 'mentors’, including some of the world’s best orchestral musicians. Members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of St Luke’s, and other NYC-area ensembles provide an unforgettable experience for both musicians and audience. Leading the orchestra is Music Director David Chan, the concertmaster for the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
