The Institute for Criminal Justice Training Reform is now looking for Podcast Producer to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director and Director of Operations, the Podcast Producer will collaborate with a team that will help identify, develop, produce and edit audio and video podcasts. Nurture story ideas from conception to completion and be responsible for a variety of editorial tasks which will include conducting or overseeing research, planning, field recording, interviewing, script writing, mixing, fact checking and all other aspects of editorial production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Produce, edit and publish podcast content to all platforms
* Develop podcasts from existing content.
* Participant in creative and production discussions around new podcast formats with internal and external stakeholders.
* Book guests, write scripts and episode rundowns, coach hosts during tracking, edit episodes, record both in studio and out in the field, studio management.
* Maintain exceptional sound quality at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Professional experience in audio production including: engineering, editing, mixing and design. Knowledge of signal flow, troubleshooting techniques and overall audio best practices is essential.
* Video shooting, editing and live-stream experience a plus.
* Good public speaking and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A team-player with a can-do attitude, eagerness to multitask and ability to take command of large, multi-faceted productions.

The Institute for Criminal Justice Training Reform is the nation’s only nonprofit advocacy organization solely dedicated to increased, reformed, and regulated training for U.S. law enforcement and criminal justice employees.

We collaborate with partners in law enforcement, academics, medical professionals, policy and legislative analysts, civic organizations and community groups to improve law enforcement training on federal, state and local levels.
