Hello-
Thank you for your consideration. We are a nonprofit, affordable housing organization in Tacoma, now in our twenty-sixth year.
We are a small office of five and seek a person that would be interested in helping us with basic receptionist coverage.
We are open generally 9-5 with the exception of Mondays when we have a financial literacy class. Mondays we are here from 9-8pm.
If you might have an interest in helping to answers phones, take messages, greet drop-in visitors, it would be most appreciated. We have a computer and a desk for your use.
If you seek additional responsibilities, we have plenty of other options.
Any consideration would be welcomed but ideally, a somewhat regular schedule would work best.

Mission Statement

The Homeownership Center of Tacoma (HCT) is a 26+ year old, community-based nonprofit corporation whose mission is to foster neighborhood revitalization through homeownership. HCT builds quality new homes, refurbishes existing homes, and makes homeownership affordable by providing a no-interest, no-payment second mortgage that ensures monthly payments are tailored to the household’s income instead of the purchase price of the home. HCT offers this unique financing program throughout the Pacific Northwest for homes that we have constructed or refurbished, to modest-income home buyers that have not owned a home during the past three years. We also offer free homebuyer, education classes. We have successfully matched over 200+ homes with individuals and families. We are just beginning. Join Us!

Established in 1993, the Homeownership Center of Tacoma has helped over 200+ low and moderate-income people achieve homeownership within the Pacific Northwest. To do so, the nonprofit constructs and renovates single-family & multi-family homes, offers financial literacy classes, homeownership counseling, life-safety repair grants for existing homeowners, financing assistance to qualified homebuyers.
