Help us with same-day event logistics for our State of the Renter Gallery Launch! Ability to speak Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Tasks may include:

• Setting up the space
• Picking up food orders
• Making banners
• Ushering-greeting participants
• Managing sign-ins

The affordable housing crisis forces Austin renters to put up with unhealthy housing -- bad building conditions, landlord bullying, and the ever-present threat of eviction or lease nonrenewal. Renters make up 55% of Austin households so now is the time for renters, city officials, and allies to elevate these pressing issues. State of the Renter is a series of forums bringing together Austinites to direct our collective attention to the lived experiences of renters and the impact that unhealthy housing has on them.
