The Pastoral Care Department at University Hospitals Case Medical Center exists to help in the spiritual healing process of patients, visitors, and staff members thus enabling them to achieve and maintain health. Volunteer positions exist as Patient Visitors, On-Call Clergy, and Eucharistic Ministers.
Volunteers make initial pastoral care calls on newly admitted patients. In this role the volunteer greets patients and obtains pertinent religious information that is missing on the admission card and contacts the patient's place of worship on request.
