Be the "spirits" behind the Haunted Trolley for this special late night tour of downtown Raleigh's most haunted places! You'll be "haunting" different locations visited by the trolley dressed in historic attire & will spook the riders on each tour! It will be a hauntingly good time!
Volunteer Duties:
"Haunting" the Historic Raleigh Trolley as "spirits" in historic costumes throughout Raleigh.
Work Environment:
"Spirits" will be located outside at different points in the city (Peace University, Capitol, & City Cemetery). There will be indoor opportunities in-between each tour to rest and refresh.
Volunteer Requirements:
The minimum age to volunteer is 18 years old. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer release form.
Special Instructions:
We are supplying snacks, pizza, water, costumes, and makeup. Volunteers should bring a coat just in case of cold weather and their own shoes (easy to move around in and dark colors preferable). The tours and preparations start at Mordecai Historic Park. Parking can be found either on Mimosa St. or Cedar St.
Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.
Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
