Mission Statement
The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects. premature birth and infant mortality.
Description
This 70 year old not for profit health organization helps save all babies from serious threats to their health. It is our goal to ensure that some day all babies are born healthy.
This year is a very exciting time for the March of Dimes because we have renamed our signature fundraising event WalkAmerica, the first and best walking event which began in 1970, to March for Babies. The reason for the renaming is simple; it is to leave no question as to why we walk- for the health of all babies. March for Babies supports programs of research, education, advocacy and community services.
Become part of March for Babies and form a team, get folks to sponsor you and walk at any of our 4 Long Island sites.
