ORGANIZATION: GEORGE WASHINGTON MASONIC NATIONAL MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION INC
Please visit the new page to apply.
The George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association, 101 Callahan, is looking for volunteers to digitize old book.
The Memorial has a collection of over 30,000 duplicate history books that need to be scanned.
The work consists of dis-binding the book and loading the loose sheets into a high speed scanner. Once the scanner has completed the book, the computer generates a read-only PDF file. The PDF file is then saved according to its title and year. Each book takes on average 5 minutes to process.
Volunteers may work any hours between 9-5 pm seven days a week. A minimal of physical labor is required. Books will be brought to the private processing room.
If interested please contact the Director of Collections, Mark Tabbert: 7083 856 5375 ext 2012 or Mtabbert@gwmemorial.org
