AseraCare Hospice is looking for volunteers interested in a weekly opportunity, on Thursday mornings to make "tuck-in" calls to our patients and/or families at home. The purpose of these tuck-in calls is to determine if our patients and/or family members have any current or future needs going into the weekend, so that our staff can address them as soon as possible.
Training is provided to make sure you are comfortable before making your first call, as well as a script of what types of questions to ask the patient or family member. Interested volunteers should be organized, friendly, and comfortable making phone calls and available weekly on Thursday mornings for 2-4 hours.
Volunteers will need to complete our application, background check, TB tests, and drug screen. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Cindy Standiford at cynthia.standiford@aseracare.com or 219-462-6398 option 2.
