Volunteer Opportunity
Help Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging (MAAA) expand its reach in the community and grow your professional skills! We are looking for volunteers who have an interest in communication, design, and social media campaign management. This role will support our Communications Director by helping to plan and implement external communications about the organization’s work.
Volunteer Role
A Social Media/Marketing Volunteer:
- Captures images of MAAA efforts in the community
- Creates and schedules social media posts
- Drafts and/or edits impact stories
- Helps create program marketing materials
- Helps maintain MAAA’s websites
Requirements
- Must have experience with communications or marketing
- Sensitivity to the needs of older adults, person with disabilities, and diverse populations
- Successful completion of personal reference and criminal background checks
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions as required
- Effective communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Word and Excel. Preferably have experience with design software and/or Wordpress web development software
