About Project Health Cape Verde:
Project Health CV (PHCV)is a non- profit organization founded in 2009, by medical staff from Beth Israel Lahey Health and Cape Verdean immigrants. PHCV is dedicated to improving lives by introducing world-class medical care to the people of Cape Verde and providing those in need access to general and preventative healthcare information. From 2009 to 2015 the Project Health CV team sent a combination of eight teams of over thirty-five medical professional volunteers to The Cape Verde Islands. Though limited in terms of equipment, staffing, and language barriers, the team treated over 1,000 patients. In 2018, PHCV celebrated its tenth Medical Mission to Cape Verde.
