Save to Favorites

One Community

One Community is an all-volunteer nonprofit sustainability think tank. Our team is global and we do all our work virtually. We're seeking a chef or other culinary specialist to help us create a recipe and meal plan purposed to feed 50+ people doing construction for humanitarian purposes in remote locations.

  • Must have relevant menu design and/or research experience
  • Must be available for 10+ volunteer hours a week
  • Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a virtual environment (from home) using GoogleDocs and DropBox for collaboration

We are creating open source menus for remote construction of eco-villages, humanitarian aid, and any other situation where people need high-quality food that can be prepared affordably, in large quantities, and with very little waste. We will use these menus in a rotating basis while constructing 7 sustainable village models.

We've already several contributors do quite a lot of research and design for this. This has produced what we think is sufficient to produce a complete 2-month menu plan. We need help though reviewing and finalizing the plan, then writing up and formatting the final recipe details.

To apply and learn more about our organization and how we promote our volunteers, please visit our online application page here:

Alternatively, you are also welcome to send your resume and work samples directly to our Executive Director who is doing the interviewing and hiring for this position: jae@onecommunityglobal.org
