Positive Action Mentors build supportive relationship with our "tween" members by assisting with homework, participating in recreational activities, and sharing insights about post-secondary education.
Positive Action Mentors facilitate an evidence-based, direct-service program addressing risk factors for youth ages 11-14 years, including bullying, substance abuse, and anti-social behavior.
- Training provided by BGCAZ youth development professionals
- Mentors serve 2 hours per week after-school mid January through the end of April
- Flexible scheduling Mon - Friday, no weekends.

Description
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) provides premier out-of-school-time programs for youth to develop their skills and resilience to successfully navigate childhood, and prepare for adulthood. We offer affordable after-school and summer programs for 16,000 young people in grades K-12. At 31 clubs across Maricopa County, areas of Pinal County, and Yuma, BGCAZ provides award-winning programs designed to change the lives of young people in four key areas: Academic Success, Character & Leadership Development, Healthy Living, and career readiness.
