Join us at the Science Museum of Minnesota as an Activity Facilitator. This flexible position brings STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) into the museum.


At your scheduled shift, you will be able to choose an activity from a core kit that will be fun and engaging for our visitors. Explore these different science concepts that can connect all areas of the museum.


On a quarterly basis, new themed kits will be available so there will always be something new to learn during your time with the museum.

Exemplify the museum’s customer service mission and standards to assure a uniform level and style of service.

  • Provide exceptional hospitality by politely and proactively greeting visitors and finding answers and solutions to visitors’ questions
  • Be attentive, efficient, knowledgeable, relevant and flexible when addressing all visitor needs and presenting science content
  • Interact with professionalism while supporting the museum’s mission

Activity Facilitator can be scheduled any day of the week, so it is perfect for any volunteer looking for a consistent but flexible option.
