ORGANIZATION: Senior Hub

One or two volunteers are needed to manage and coordinate the Fall and Spring Yard Cleanups for Senior Hub clients. The volunteer(s) will serve under the Home Care Services Department (HCS) of Senior Hub doing these tasks:

  1. Answer email inquiries and phone calls of potential cleanup clients and volunteers or volunteer groups
  2. Perform client yard inspections to determine the work to be done
  3. Develop cleanup schedules and volunteer and volunteer group assignments
  4. Take before and after photos of the properties cleaned as required for the agency's reporting
Office space, phone, etc. will be provided, and also a camera for photos. Volunteers will be reimbursed for mileage spent evaluating consumer yards and visiting during cleanups. Coverage is needed for up to eight hours per week during the hours of 9 am - 2 pm Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays to check in on the cleanup locations and take photos during the Fall cleanup period which will be from approximately September 9-30, 2019, but somewhat flexible. (The Spring dates have not yet been set.)

Senior Hub's RSVP - SHOUT (Senior Hub Outreach) helps people to find service opportunities in their own communities that match their personal interests and utilize their skills and lifelong experiences. Volunteers schedules are flexible and hours range from 2-20 hours a week.

  • Coverage will require up to 8 hours per week during the cleanup period. If two volunteers share the coverage then four hours each. Office time could be done 9am to 2pm Mon-Fri. with some Saturday time for cleanups.
