We understand the power of music, and would like to offer our patients, and their family caregivers, intimate performances to comfort them on their end-of-life journey.
If you are musically inclined, are you willing to share your talent with our patients, performing a bed-side concert?
All Volunteers need to enjoy a wide spectrum of personalities, and have the tendency to listen first. But the general, main skill needed is simply the desire and willingness to 'be there' for others.

All Volunteers do need to complete a 6-week training/orientation; the next training opportunities start mid-September; now is a good time to learn more about this special way of giving back to those in your community.

Our mission is to care, comfort and heal. Hospice volunteers provide companionship and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. They visit patients in private homes and in long-term care facilities and they offer the gift of presence, by listening, acknowledging and affirming the journey ahead.
Description
We seek emotionally mature individuals who demonstrate the personal qualities of empathy, flexibility and the desire to make a difference in another person's life.
Volunteers offer support to the patient and their family, often providing much needed respite for caregivers. They also provide practical assistance such as running errands, preparing a snack or performing light housekeeping.
