Elmwood Park Zoo is bringing back it's Harvest Fest by popular demand, and we would like volunteers to help us make it better than ever!
Harvest Fest isn't your average day at the zoo, and Elmwood isn't your average zoo! The Harvest Fest brings in live music, unique food vendors as well as fall games and activities throughout the zoo. The fun is centered on Elmwood's Zoobrew, open every day, which serves alcoholic drinks for adults to enjoy while the kiddos enjoy the animals, music and fun! Volunteers assist with setup for the event as well as running games, tables and fun animal activities.
We are currently recruiting groups to volunteer for one day's fun. Must be 14 years of age to volunteer. Single volunteers are accepted, as well as clubs, groups of friends or co-workers.
We have available shifts at 11:30 - 4 PM on weekends from September 28th through November 17th, and groups can serve more than one date.

Description
Elmwood Park Zoo was established in 1924 when a local farmer transferred 16 acres and a small menagerie to the Borough of Norristown. Today, the Zoo is owned and operated by the Norristown Zoological Society, a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster an appreciation of wildlife and their habitat that will inspire active participation in conservation. Under the Society’s careful management, Elmwood Park Zoo has attained the elite status as one of only 225 institutions accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
