If you're part of a Pet Therapy team, I don't need to tell you here how powerful a Pet Therapy visit can be for those, who, because of their circumstances, have been deprived of pet-love.

Our hospice would like to offer our home-bound patients the opportunity to receive Pet Therapy.

We ask that the pet member of the team be certified by an agency, like Bright & Beautiful, or Therapy Dog International, which also insures the animal for these visits.

There is a hospice training that the 'human' team member will need to complete, as well as various background and health checks. Details are available in an Introductory Packet. If you are ready to explore Hospice Volunteering as the way you and your pet-partner give back to your community, please request a Packet, by replying to this post.

The next training sessions are scheduled to start in mid-September 2019; the class will be limited to 12 participants. Now is the time to inquire about it and register for the class.

Holy Redeemer is a non-profit agency.
