The American Red Cross provides a variety of services to our Service Members, veterans and their families, including our Hero Care Network for emergency communications, resiliency workshops, preparedness training for adults and children, and support to military medical facilities.
Our volunteers share this information with new military families as their loved ones enter service at the OKC Military Entrance Processing Station, or MEPS. Military applicants also fill out contact cards so that we can contact their families to provide vital information on how to utilize our Emergency Communication Services during serious situations where they need to request their service member be allowed to return home on emergency leave.
Time commitment: Minimum 2 hours/week during business hours, typically mornings at the beginning of the week
Skills: Organization, People Skills, Public Speaking, Verbal / Written Communication
Additional Tasks: Might enter Information using a Smart Phone Application
All training will be provided. Desire is to form a 2-person team that will work together.
