We are looking looking for a volunteer to lead a monthly diabetes discussion for individuals living with diabetes to discuss strategies for healthy living.

This is a great opportunity for certified diabetes educators, medical students, nutritionists/dietitians, health coaches. This is a monthly commitment, volunteer will lead the discussion group preferably on a Monday evening from 5-6pm.

You must be comfortable with testing participants blood sugar levels with glucose meter provided by EZRA.

Each month provide a different article or talking point based on diabetic health i.e eating healthy, carb counting, watching weight, being active, diabetes and smoking.

Description

EZRA's services strive to alleviate homelessness, hunger, unemployment and other self-sufficiency barriers. In addition, EZRA offers social activities and holiday celebrations to ensure that Jews who live in poverty remain actively connected to their heritage. EZRA is funded through the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and is administered by Jewish Community Center of Chicago.
