Mission: Hopecam is a 501c3 charitable organization with the mission of using technology to overcome the social isolation of children in treatment for cancer. Recognizing the critical need for socialization with their friends and classmates, Hopecam seeks to bridge the lonely divide between homebound or hospitalized children and their friends at school using tablets, web cameras, and Zoom.

Position: School Liaison

Start Date: Immediately

Position Description:

• Locates school information (counselors, principals, and teachers emails, addresses, etc.)
• Communications with schools to start the connection process with students
• Follows up with schools who are unable to connect and help troubleshoot minimal issues
• Enter information in Hopecam data base-training will be provided
• Assembles Welcome Packets for school connections

Required Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and flexibility
• Team player and willing to "pitch in" in areas that are not outlined in description
• Excellent PC skills and well versed in PC version of Microsoft Word/Excel
• Self motivator
• Detail orientated
• Sophisticated interpersonal communication skills
• Reliable transportation to Hopecam office
• Must pass criminal background check
• Needs to be available during school office hours (Eastern, Central, and Western time frames)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 months, 3-4 hours/week
• Sense of humor
