It’s an exciting time to become a History Center volunteer docent!
From now through 2021, our museum will undergo major renovations, including new exhibitions and outdoor
spaces. Become a part of history in the making and grow with us! Help serve as a gateway for community
engagement, education, and inspiration by preserving and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding
story. Whether you can give three hours or 30 hours a month, any service is appreciated, and we’d love for
you to join our tour team!
Who does the History Center serve?
We do our best to make the museum accessible for all. We offer programming for ages 3 to 103! There’s
something for everyone - group tours, day and evening events, family programs, and exhibit openings.
Volunteers bring the museum to life! Without our volunteers’ time and talents, we wouldn’t be able to serve
thousands of visitors annually. Volunteer docents at the History Center help guide, teach, and inspire children
and families from our community, potentially impacting the lives of countless people.
Volunteer rewards
In return for generously donating their time, History Center volunteers enjoy numerous rewards, including
appreciation events, on-going learning opportunities, exclusive gallery tours, complimentary tickets to the
museum, and a free History Center membership based on hours of service.
VOLUNTEER TRAINING: MUSEUM TOUR GUIDES
