Under remote supervision of the CMO, this volunteer position is responsible for the coordination and support of the organizations fundraising events. This position is a hands-on involvement in all event fundraising and event activities; development and management of event committees and volunteer; development of corporate and business relationships along with the solicitations of monetary and in-kind support for sponsorships, auctions, fundraising activities, event marketing and outreach.
This volunteer position is responsible for soliciting sponsors, advertising, selling tickets, coordinating volunteers, covering the logistics of the event and most importantly generating profits.
Duties:
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events for the organization
- Solicitation of sponsorship for monetary and in-kind support
- Research prospective donors
- Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
- Identify and contact potential donors
- Following up on potential donor leads
- Build positive relationships with potential and existing donors
- Maintain records of donor information for future use
- Represent and promote Posh Foundation aka Revive Therapy Group at local fundraising events
- Network within the community to build strong relationships with potential donors
- Provide administrative support to management staff
- Generate leads to build Corporate donors and document all communication via CRM
- Build a very strong social media presence and write campaign message to be sent through social media.
- Send out mail chimp messages on on-going bases for event updates
Qualifications:
Must be personable, compassionate individual with exceptional listening skills, high energy.
This position has the potential to turn into full-time, depending on how successful he/she is at Fundraising. Prefer at least 1-2 years experience in fundraising capacity, with a proven record of raising significant funds for an organization. The organization sponsors various fundraising events through out the year to engage the public to contribute to:
- Free back-packs and supplies for inner-city elementary, middle school, and high school students who are at-risk for school failure.
- Book scholarships for female high school graduates or GED recipients entering their first year at an accredited college or university
- Job preparation seminars for women entering/ re-entering the workforce.
- Families experiencing financial hardships due to catastrophic events, unemployment, low-income, etc.
