The Latin American Festival celebrates the sights and sounds of the Latin world with live Salsa and Merengue music, authentic food and crafts, and plenty of activities for families to enjoy!

Volunteers are needs to help with

* Kids Area- Responsible for line control, taking tickets or checking for stamps and ensuring all participants are adhering to safety protocols. The shift is 2:30pm-6:30pm

*The Green Team - Recycling Ambassador -Recycling Ambassadors will be stationed at or in close proximity to recycling and compost bins throughout the festival, serving as a guide to assist attendees with proper disposal of materials and helping them get their materials into the appropriate bins. Interest in Stewardship in preferred. The shift is 2:30-6:30pm

*Festival Breakdown-Assist the festival staff with breaking down and putting away tables, chairs, tents, inflatables, flags, signs, and controlling traffic on the meadow. Shifts is 5:30pm-7:30pm

The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission features over 11,000 acres of property and includes four regional parks, three beach parks, four seasonally-lifeguarded beach areas, three dog parks, two landmark fishing piers, three waterparks, a historic plantation site, 19 boat landings, a skate park, a climbing wall, a challenge course, an interpretive center, an equestrian center, vacation cottages, a campground, a marina, as well as wedding, meeting, and event facilities. The park system also offers a wide variety of recreational services - festivals, camps, classes, programs, volunteer opportunities, and more.

  • 2 to 4.25 hours for this event. Volunteers that complete 35+ hours in -12 months, earn a Reciprocity Pass. Passes are issued in January & July and are good for 12 months.
