ORGANIZATION: American Cancer Society

Volunteer at our Making Strides Walk of the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for volunteers to commit to shifts from 7am - 11am and 11am - 2pm. T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers.


At every phase of the event, from setup to cleanup, we need
volunteers to help.
CHECK-IN: Help participants and volunteers check-in day of the event.
May require pre-event training.
REFRESHMENT STATIONS: Set up and distribute snacks andwater
towalkers.
ROUTE MARSHALS: Directwalkers on the route. Duties may include
traffic control.
WATER STATIONS: Distributewater towalkers along the route.
MERCHANDISE: Promote T-shirts and other promotional items.
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: Sign in and direct volunteers to their stations.
GREETERS/CHEERERS: Greetwalkers and lead them to check-in.
Cheer onwalkers, provide directions.
SURVIVORS TENT: Assist in greeting cancer survivors.
FIRST AID: Provide medical attention if needed. Requires certification.
SETUP/CLEANUP: May involve heavy lifting, moving, and loading
