Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Project Homeless Connect! Project Homeless Connect is a service and resource fair for people who are at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. The services provided aim to break down barriers to housing and self-sufficiency including housing, shelter, health care, legal aid, job readiness, food, clothing, behavioral health, pet care, and more. Nov 16th is set-up day and Nov 17th is the Event day.
Interested in volunteering with minors? We welcome youth ages 12-16 to volunteer with a parent/guardian or in a group with a supervising adult (one supervising adult per every five youth volunteers). We strongly encourage young people under 16 to be signed up for the same volunteer role and shift as their supervising adult. Look for volunteer role/shifts that say "youth friendly", as some roles must be filled by adults only. All youth under the age of 18 will need their parent/guardian to sign a consent form, located on our website. Click the link to sign up for various shifts https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/846995108611510057/false#/invitation

Mission Statement
The Nevada Homeless Alliance pursues collaborative strategies to end homelessness in Southern Nevada through advocacy, public awareness, education, and the coordination of services. This requires a multidimensional, collaborative approach among government agencies, community organizations, the private sector and homeless people themselves. The NHA works to create and strengthen these relationships to facilitate an effective and comprehensive systems response to homelessness.
Description
The Nevada Homeless Alliance leads the coordination of Connect Events, comprehensive resource fairs for homeless and low income individuals and families that provide immediate access to a full array of services in one place, including housing, medical/dental/vision care, mental/behavioral health, job readiness, legal aid, community resources, benefit support, pet care, and more.
