On Sunday, November 3rd, Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley is hosting our second annual cycling event, Cycle of Hope. With five courses that showcase the best views the South Bay has to offer, there really is something for everyone - whether you’re bringing a little one to the Kids’ Course, riding the Century, or cycling one of the distances in between.

Keep the riders on track! Volunteer to direct riders and traffic to keep everyone on course and headed toward the finish line!

Duties include:

  • Direct riders and keep them safe along the route
  • Have proper understanding of the course
  • Be available to stop pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic while riders cross
  • Provide alternative routes to drivers to avoid the bike course

Special Notes:

  • Review course map prior to event day and bring with you on event day
  • Standing for long periods of time is required
  • Volunteers meet at the Start/Finish Line location and then placed throughout the course to direct riders & traffic
  • Volunteers for this role must be 18 & older.
  • Volunteer together! This role is great for pairs!

Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley is seeking enthusiastic and philanthropic volunteers for its inaugural cycling event in beautiful Palo Alto, California. The event will be held on Sunday, November 3. Featured rides at every skill level from the kids on the short track to the die hard century cyclists. Five rides in all.

Perks include:

  • Super cool event souvenir t-shirt for you to keep!
  • Snacks and pats on backs
  • Watching amazing people accomplish an amazing goal
  • Be part of a cause that strives to ensure everyone has a roof over their head
