We are looking for highly energized and service-minded individuals to help us further our humanitarian mission at the Red Cross. Our AmeriCorps members are creative, passionate, and dedicated individuals that serve in a full-time capacity for 10.5 months at Red Cross chapters across Los Angeles County. If you are looking for a way to help others, gain professional experience, and serve your community, then come join our AmeriCorps team!
California For All is the Red Cross’s newest AmeriCorps program, created in partnership with CaliforniaVolunteers and the Governor's Listos Preparedness Initiative. Members focus their service on educating the most vulnerable citizens in LA County in disaster preparedness. Members will participate in a door-to-door canvassing initiative to provide free smoke alarms and help families create an emergency escape plan, educate citizens at local community fairs/events and provide disaster education classes to community groups and schools.
Service locations include: Antelope Valley, Arcadia, Commerce, Downtown Los Anglees, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Monica,
Benefits of service include: biweekly stipend, $10,000 education award, healthcare, and more
