Event Description:
This is a family oriented event that offers Halloween fun for kids 10 and under. Join the Green Road staff for a spooky night filled with activities and games that will not leave you "BOOING".
Volunteer Duties:
- Decorator/Set-Up
Assist Green Road staff with decorating multiple program spaces and setting up activities and games during the event. - Activity Leads
Facilitate and lead different activities and games for participants during the event. Volunteers must be available to lead activities for the duration of the event.
Volunteer Impact:
Volunteers will assist in providing an opportunity for youth to participate in programming in a safe and controlled environment.
Work Environment:
The event is held indoors. Indoor gym temperature will range between 70 - 75 degrees. There is a restroom on site.
Volunteer Requirements:
The minimum age for volunteering is 16 years of age. All volunteers must sign a release form. Those under the age of 18 will need to have a parent/guardian signature. We ask that volunteers requiring parental consent submit volunteer forms a minimum of two days prior to the event.
Special Instructions:
Volunteers are encouraged to wear costumes that are child-friendly and age appropriate.
Group Registration Information: Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.
Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
