We are excited to share with you that this September we will be doing our second door-to-door initiative to get out of the library, meet our neighbors, and see how we can assist community members in a place that is both convenient and comfortable for them-- their own homes! The time to sign up for shifts starts now! Staff and volunteers can sign-up here: (https://airtable.com/shrcnW5zrFA8gupeh)
Last September we had 53 staff members and 18 volunteers who visited 1,316 homes, where they talked with over 600 individuals, issued 252 new library cards, and had 96% of all interactions rated as positive as part of Library Card Sign Up Month. It was a great success and we are excited to build on it.
