Mission Statement

The mission of NAMI Georgia is to promote recovery and optimize the quality of life for Georgian’s affected by mental illness through support, education, advocacy, and research.

Description

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need.

Our chapters, or Affiliates, offer regular Support Group Meetings for those with a diagnosis, and for their family and friends. These groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope. They also provide Education Classes for those with a diagnosis, and for their family and friends.
