Young Authors Greenhouse is a literacy organization that inspires young people to recognize the power of their voices and stories. We love helping students find joy in learning and writing and watching young people grow confident and proud! To do that, we offer fun and outside-the-box writing programs for students ages 6-18. Volunteers are the heart of our work. Volunteers sit with students one-on-one and encourage the writing process. Volunteers truly create the magic of our work!

We just launched a new program and we are now a destination for classrooms! Our field trips are fun, exciting, and energetic writing experiences where students write stories to show our always-arguing twin bosses how to resolve conflict. Volunteers fill a variety of roles: working with students, typing stories, binding books, and even being the voices of the twins!

Here's the scoop:

  • Dates/Time: Monday and Wednesdays, 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Flexibility: Since field trips are one-time experiences, volunteers can sign up for field trips as it fits!
