The Hearts of Epilepsy Foundation is seeking a creative, driven, self-starter to volunteer in upcoming event planning and fundraising mission. This position is to coordinate and execute events to raise money and awareness for the Hearts of Epilepsy Foundation. You will be responsible for building vital partnerships with a number of local organizations, businesses, and community members in order to leverage financial support. In this highly visible position, the you will represent major public events and speaking engagements, as well as community engagement and increase our local presence. You will also collaborate with our Marketing and Communications task force to create, prepare, and execute effective material, messaging, and branding campaigns. This volunteer position will be open for permanent placement in 2020.

The Hearts of Epilepsy Foundation provide programs and support services to those persons affected by EPILEPSY that help them maintain their health, safety, self-sufficiency, and personal well-being; and to heighten public awareness of epilepsy in order to elicit financial support for the Foundation's programs and services and promote understanding for those diagnosed with the epilepsy and to improve the lives of people with EPILEPSY.

Description

Hearts of Epilepsy Foundation(r) is a nonprofit organization focused on providing free services that address the critical needs of people with EPILEPSY and their families - helping them maintain the best quality of life. Living with epilepsy are unpredictable and may decrease or increase in severity over time. This presents physical, emotional, and financial challenges families must face. Therefore, we're here to provide the support, education, and assistance needed to adapt to these challenging circumstances. Our primary focus is on providing individuals with EPILEPSY the help they need to maintain their health and well-being, to continue to be productive and independent, and a safe environment in their home. We do so with empathy, resourcefulness, and conscientious care.
