ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association, Northern CA and Northern NV

Make a difference in the lives of people caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder!

The Alzheimer’s Association’s support groups are open for families, friends, and caregivers of persons living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder. It provides a safe environment for individuals to: express feelings, give and receive support, learn about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and discover effective ways to cope with and care for their family member.

We are seeking a facilitator for our Oroville Family Caregiver Support Group, the group currently meets the 3rd Wedneday of the month from 2:00-4:00pm at Feather River Tribal Health Center.

Training and ongoing support are provided.

Description

We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.
