Kennel Cleaning Assistants are responsible for assisting Kennel Technicians with cleaning duties.
Shift Times are 8am-12pm and offered 7 days a week.
- Very Physical Position that works in All Weather
- High Need Shifts: Tuesday thru Saturday
- 2 Weekly Shifts Required
- Volunteer always paired with Animal Care Tech (Paid Staff)
- Dog Kennel Cleaning
- Running Dogs (sizes small to extra-large) to and from Play Yards while kennels are being cleaned inside
- Fill Food Bowls
- Fill Water Bowls
- Must be able to handle Dogs without Restrictions (no fears, no allergies)
Info Session (Virtual): Learn about IndyHumane
Basic Training (Virtual): Volunteer Basics
Intro to Shelter Canine Course (Virtual): Shelter Dog Handling Tips
Shadow Days (In-Person): Learn Kennel Cleaning Routine and Protocol

WHO WE ARE
Since 1905, IndyHumane provides vital services to animals and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals, providing positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals and outreach through our community and shelter programs.
A private, nonprofit organization that receives no public or private government funding, the Humane Society of Indianapolis is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, adoption fees and other fees for service.
