Helping hands

Do you enjoy administrative projects? Do you work well in an office setting? Hospice of the Miami Valley is seeking office volunteers who can assist with administrative duties to help our staff provide quality care to our patients. Filing paperwork, data entry, making copies, preparing mailings, and answering phones are just a few examples of assisting our staff to provide quality hospice care.

Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team. Office volunteers for HOMV offer practical help to our staff, giving them more time to provide care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. The help and support that our volunteers give is returned to them in countless ways.

This position offers flexibility in time commitment and schedule, so you can volunteer as little or as much as you like. Our Volunteer Coordinator will provide specialized training and will walk with you every step of the way. You will be supported in your role by a competent and caring group of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and fellow volunteers. All supplies will be provided by Hospice. Volunteers will report to our office in Troy.

If you'd like to devote your time in hospice in an office setting, please call Volunteer Coordinator Rachel Davis at 937-524-2118 or email rachel.davis@homv.org.
