Help us build beaver dam analogs in various locations on the Swaner Preserve! Beaver dam analogs (BDAs) are man made beaver dams that mimic the ecological benefits of beavers in places where they are no longer found. Groundwater recharging, flood prevention, and improved riparian habitat are just a few benefits. This outdoor project will take place on multiple dates below from 9 am-4 pm:
East Canyon Creek
- Oct. 25
- Oct. 26
Waders will be available to borrow. Please bring sack lunch, sunscreen, water, bug spray, sunglasses, and layers. Sign up for one or multiple dates through the link below. Email Rhea at rhea.cone@usu.edu with any questions or for more information.
