PurpleStride Sacramento is the walk to end pancreatic cancer and one of over 55 events across the the country. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance pancreatic cancer research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.
Join our vibrant community of survivors, impacted families, loved ones, researchers and advocates committed to rewriting the future of this deadly disease. PurpleStride Sacramento is Saturday, November 9th at William Land Park. Visit our event site at http://purplestride.org/sacramento to learn more!
We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to help us manage our parking at the event. We anticipate up to 1,100 participants this year. Parking around William Land Park is limited and the city requests we have guests park at Sacramento City College right across the street. We need volunteers to help direct guests there (we do have lots of signage as well), direct them to the event area and a couple people to help manage our VIP parking area for vendors, survivors and event organizers. We would love to have a drop off area in this zone but will need volunteers to manage and make sure everyone doesn't try to park there.
Ideally, this opportunity would be great for a service group college or older but we are happy to work with single volunteers and build our awesome parking team that way as well! Please contact us with any questions.
